Minnesota United FC and Major League Soccer announced today the full schedule for the upcoming 2027 MLS Sprint Season before the league transitions into a summer-to-spring competition calendar that will begin in July 2027. 

MNUFC will face off against every Western Conference opponent once in 14 regular season matches from February through May 2027, evenly divided into seven home and seven road matches. The Loons will welcome Seattle Sounders FC on Sunday, February 28 for their season opener at Allianz Field. It will be the second time the Loons face the Sounders in a season opener, but the first time the Loons will host a season opener at Allianz Field since the club joined MLS in 2017.

Additional highlights of the 2027 MLS Sprint Schedule include: 

• Home opponents: The Loons will host Seattle Sounders FC, LAFC, San Diego FC, Portland Timbers FC, St. Louis CITY SC, Austin FC, and FC Dallas.
• Road opponents: MNUFC will travel to Sporting Kansas City, San Jose Earthquakes, Colorado Rapids, LA Galaxy, Real Salt Lake, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, and Houston Dynamo FC.
• In addition to Sunday’s season opener, the Loons will play 10 regular season matches on Saturday and three on Wednesday. MNUFC will also host four day matches during the 2027 Sprint Season versus Seattle Sounders FC, LAFC, San Diego FC and St. Louis CITY SC. 
• Decision Day: Minnesota United will host FC Dallas on Decision Day, May 8 at Allianz Field for Fan Appreciation Night. 
• The Loons will not play during MLS is Back Weekend (Feb. 19-21) as the club has its bye for Matchday One. 

Additional information regarding Walmart Saturday Showdown, Sunday Night Soccer presented by Continental Tire, and any nationally televised matches will be announced at a later date. MNUFC themes nights will also be announced at a later time.

2027 SPRINT SEASON TICKETS

Single-game tickets for the 2027 Sprint Season will go on sale later this year. AUDI 2027 MLS CUP PLAYOFFS AND 2027 MLS CUP PRESENTED BY AUDI

Following Decision Day 2027 on May 8, the top eight teams in each of the two conferences will qualify for the Audi 2027 MLS Cup Playoffs. In each conference, the postseason will be played in a single-elimination bracket format to determine a conference champion. The Eastern and Western Conference champions will meet in the 2027 MLS Cup presented by Audi on Memorial Day Weekend. The complete postseason schedule will be announced at a later date.
