
Hank Stebbins
Biography
Hank Stebbins has been part of Minnesota United’s technical staff since May 2023 and is entering his third season as Head of Recruitment, Roster Strategy, and Negotiation.
 Stebbins oversees the Scouting and Player Recruitment department for Minnesota United FC, which includes a team of twelve scouts, three analysts, and a player finance specialist. He also leads the roster strategy for Minnesota United’s first team, utilizing the MLS Salary Cap, play finance, and Roster Budget Rules while setting the first and second team’s data analytics and scouting strategies. Additionally, Stebbins serves as the lead negotiator and liaison to player agents and intermediaries for player transfers and contracts.
In his first season in his current role with Minnesota United, Stebbins helped lead the team from 11th place in the standings to a Western Conference Semifinal. In his second season he helped lead the team to the club’s regular-season points record, another Western Conference Semifinal, and helped set a club record of more than $11 million in player sales, including the club-record sale of Tani Oluwaseyi to Villareal.
Before joining Minnesota United he practiced law and was a partner at Lane Powell PC. Prior to that he was an Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Oregon State and Georgia State universities. Stebbins graduated from the University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and History and holds a Juris Doctor degree from Willamette University College of Law.
