Mauricio González

The 22-year-old Colombian winger was added to Minnesota United’s squad after the club acquired him from Colombia’s first-division side Deportes Tolima. González signed a multi-year contract through the 2029–30 MLS season, with a club option for the 2030–31 season, and will occupy an international roster spot.

González most recently spent half of the 2025 season on loan with Deportes Tolima from Inter Palmira, competing in Colombia’s top flight. During his time with Tolima, the winger made 27 appearances across league play, scoring five goals and adding three assists across all competitions. Prior to his loan spell, González featured with Inter Palmira, where he made 58 professional appearances and recorded six goals as he continued to develop as an attack-minded wide player.

González began his professional career in the youth system of Cortuluá, now known as Inter Palmira, joining the club in 2020 and rising through the academy ranks. He made his professional debut in October 2022 with the then first-division side, appearing as a substitute in the final seven minutes of a match against Atlético Junior. Since then, González has continued to gain experience at the professional level, showcasing strong technical ability, pace, and the confidence to take on defenders in attacking areas.
